Fayann Huang (/,fae-an(n) h(w)’ang/:) is a highly creative individual who has a keen eye for colour, detail and design. She was a Design Intern for world renowned brand, Tommy Hilfiger at their New York City headquarters, working among the head and senior handbag and shoe designers and creatives. She has freelanced for Canadian companies, Daimyo for Mother Made, Kastor & Pollux and Magwood and previously worked for world famous bridal boutique, Kleinfeld's - Hudson's Bay in the heart of downtown Toronto.
Fayann debuted her graduating collection at Mass Exodus 2015, where she was placed in the top 15 out of 60 designers to present to the industry audience. Her debut collection led her to placing in the Top 5 of the ICFF FASH-ION 2015 Competition, which was presented by the ICFF and TIFF.
She was named the WINNER of the 2014 Lindt Chocolate Fashion Design Competition, an event hosted by Fashion Television's Jeanne Beker. Fayann was also chosen as one of the top 25 finalists for the Telio Breakthrough Designers Competition 2014, out of all of Canada.
Fayann has earned a B. Des in Fashion Design from The School of Fashion at Ryerson University and prior to her current role, she was a Colourist and an Associate Accessories Designer at Roots Canada's Design Head Office. She currently works as a Mens Mainline Outerwear/ Wovens/ Sweaters and Franchise Asia Mens Outerwear/ Wovens/ Sweaters/ Cut & Sew Associate Designer at Roots.
